Space Flights on the horizon?

the FCC is an interstate affair...space travel is not on the same level

Such things as highways, currency, FCC, railroads, FAA, etc. are interstate affairs, and should be regulated by a federal govt.

i dont even know what an airlock design is...I'm not saying I should be in charge of it...i'm saying the government shouldnt...I don't know all this space technical mumbo-jumbo. It means nothing to me.

Because i don't know how to go about making sure space travel is safe means I shouldn't discuss whether it should be government run or privatized? That's ridiculous. You try to confuse people rather than convince them.

The fact remains that government has gotten WAY too big, and should have no business in such things as NASA. It should be military protection, interstate functions, etc. Space travel should not be on there.

The fact that you point out my lack of knowledge on how to make a shuttle safe does nothing to help prove your argument. I mean, if needed, I guess I could drag my dad onto the message board and discuss it...I mean, he was a safety engineer at Kennedy Space Center.

so what the hell are we discussing? I'm saying that the government has no business being involved in NASA....so, some company who has a large "scope" would have to be involved...that's fine. What I'm saying is that our federal government should not be concerned with flying stuff out to Mars.
