HOUSTON, TEXAS (CNN) -- A 47 year old man was in a stable condition yesterday, just hours after he was viciously mauled by his pet rabbit.

 

Alberto Gonzales, of Houston Texas, was found with horrific facial damage after calling the EMT's after being attacked by an enraged pet. "I guess I am to blame for what happened. When he nudges my leg, that means he is hungry. I actually kicked him away, and that is when he jumped up and attacked me." testified Gonzales, recalling the horrid incident. "I regret not paying attention to poor Osito."

 

Osito, a 21lb Flemish Giant, was found crouched in a corner, obviously frightened by the commotion. He was taken away by animal control, where he will undergo rabies testing.

Flemish Giants are the largest breed of rabbits, being able to reach 30+lbs and being 3 feet long. They are also known to be quite tempermental, being angered quite easily. Flemish Giants also have sharp teet, alot sharper than most rabbits, due to eating tougher foods.

 

Mr. Gonzales wishes that he will be reunited with Osito eventually.
