April 11, 200521 yr of this guy accepting this trade? I trade: Johnny Estrada Andy Pettitte I recieve: Brad Lidge I just offerd it to him. A couple of days ago he posted that he needed a catcher and that he would pay for top notch. Now I don't know about you guys but I think Estrada is a very good catcher despite how much I hate him. This guy I am trying to make the trade with has no catcher. No catcher at all- empty roster spot. I am throwing in Andy because I got Mark Mulder, Jake Peavy, Tim Hudson, Odalis Perez, Livan Hernandez, Ramon Ortiz, Brian Lawerence and Brad Penny. So I can afford to trade him away. I need another closer very badly. I have got Troy Percival, Tim Worrell and Antonio Alfonseca as my relief pitchers.. This trade would leave me with JD Closser(Rockies) but I have always been very good at finding good offensive players on the waiver wire.. What do you guys think? Think it has a chance?
April 11, 200521 yr Thats a lot for a closer, I think. If Mike Adams is a FA pick him up and don't do the trade IMO.
April 11, 200521 yr Author Somebody already snatched Adams up . Really the only reliever as a FA that I have a little interest in is Brazoban and he won't be getting many saves..
