June 3, 200521 yr What for? The All Stars game has lost all luster and significance. Fans are idiots and most of them vote for names rather than for production. Nomar Garciappara leads all votes for SS despite being injured for the past month or so. Scott Rolen leas 3Bs even though he is also injured. Piazza again is the top candidate for catcher even though he is hitting 244. Ken Griffey Jr., who is nothing but a shadow of the Griffey we used to know, is third among outfielders while Cabrera is 5th. PLEASE!!!! I wouldn't waste my time with this crap... :banghead :banghead :banghead

June 3, 200521 yr fans shouldnt be allowed to vote. Its gotten to the point where being a reserve for the all-star game is more important, because those guys actually deserve being there.
June 3, 200521 yr the all-star game is more for the fans than it is for the players now a day so of course there going to let the fans pick so they can see the players they want to see. I know alot of players that deserve to be there get left out but it is a popularity contest
June 3, 200521 yr you can't have the fans pick and also have it determine homefield in the world series you either pick the best players and let it determine homefield, or you just have it not determine homefield You can't have it determine homefield if you're not putting out the best team that you possibly can, that's not only unfair but just plain dumb
