June 4, 200521 yr Bull-pen has been weak, and IMO, continues to be mismanaged. But, bottom-line, is we are not scoring enough runs. (Duh.) Jack is not afraid to shake things up... and he has. Does he continue? Does he put Dillon in Left (for two games) and Cabs at 3rd? Does he continue with Niner in Right? Or put Easley there? Does he go back to the original recipe and trust everyone will work out of the slump? It's a long season. But, it doesn't take long to slip significantly behind. I think Jack and the FO have been working to upgrade the team, not just sitting back until after the All-Star game. Meanwhile, we are miserable. Need a chorus of RUN, JOE, RUN. Somebody has to step up with excitement. Someone will. Depends on Jack's instincts. Will he be creative or go for the traditional long haul? I'd go for the creative for at least a week. Couldn't be worse! And I'd bring up Willingham and really shake up the line-up.
June 4, 200521 yr I think Jack should let me manage for a week I guarantee at least 5 victories and no bullpen losses
June 4, 200521 yr For a minute I thought this was free verse poetry. 795376 So did I. :o 795411 ha, it is beautiful. but only the players and coaches in a conjoyned effort can bring the marlins back to full power.
June 4, 200521 yr He's got to go back to the original lineup, consistency is needed, not constant lineup juggling. If he's so sold that the regulars can't produce, they have no business eating payroll on the bench.

June 4, 200521 yr Our bullpen was very good at the beginning of the season. 795427 Alfonseca. If we had Alfonseca, Graves and Spooney to go with Mota and Jones, this kind of stuff wouldn't be happening.

All of them who made names for themselves pitching with the bases empty with the lead. That will fix everything. TSwift, what do you mean by that?

June 4, 200521 yr TSwift, what do you mean by that? 795464 That, ideally, we go back to the original 1-8, but if Pierre and Lowell have played themselves out of the lineup, we need to either deal them or promote permanent players (Willingham). When a team's in a funk like this, the only way to get out of it is to use consistent lineups (especially with a veteran team like this). Gimmick lineups do nothing to right the ship.
