Beckett Prophylactic???

Featured Replies

What MLB Rule says Beckett can't wear a "rubberized" prophylactic on his bad finger??? Seriously.

Less than "seriously," maybe we could get the requisite 45 milion for Trojan Stadium.

I think that might count as a "foreign substance". Plus how hard would it be to learn how to pitch with a condom on your finger?! :mischief2

I would have to agree.

If simply having pine tar on a small spot on your glove, and subsequently on your finger, is illegal, or the routine pitchers must go through if they touch their cap or shirt, then anything such as what you're describing would have to be as well.

If I remember Zack Day was thrown out for having crazy glue on a blister.
