Smolarski played in 56 games for the Gulf Coast team in 2004 where he scored 29 runs with 54 hits and four homeruns in 191 at bats. He has 28 RBI and 12 stolen bases. The Grasshoppers travel to Kannapolis to face the Intimidators over the upcoming weekend. Upon their return, the Hoppers will enjoy the three-day All-Star Break, with the exception of Brett Carroll, Chris Mobley and Craig Molldrem. The next Grasshopper home game will take place on July 4 starting at 7:00 PM.
