August 16, 200323 yr i was just watching Major League with my grandpa in spanish, and i jsut noticed some coincidences, nothing big but still. The last Yankees pitcher in the 9th inning is named Duke, tranlsate that into spanish and its El Duque(which what he was called during the movie), and the Yankees SS wears #2 like that other Yankees SS. crazy stuff

August 30, 200322 yr Although it's manipulative as hell and not for all tastes, my vote goes to "Field Of Dreams." To me, no other movie quite captures the way that baseball can get under a person's skin, sometimes to an unhealthy degree. I should know I actually knew that Moonlight Graham was a real player, and that he appeared in one game for the 1905 Giants without officially batting, before I saw the movie. I liked Major League(The first.) though. It's funny, with some good quotes and moments.BTW is it just me or does Jake Taylor(Tom Berenger.) remind you of Darren "Dutch" Daulton.

August 30, 200322 yr I thought I was the only one that thought that :lol yep, everything about him. A catcher with bad knees,everyone thought he was finished but he goes on to a team that ends up winning the division,Troubles with his wife,He even looks like him.
