A huge upset this week at the box office. Wedding Crashers was in it's third week of release, it was facing competition from Charlie which had beaten it in the two previous weeks and then three new movies.

 

Wedding Crashers pulled out at #1 for the first time with over 20 million, again this is a small drop off from last week's gross which is almost unheard of in today's boxoffice market, obviously this movie's great reviews and strong word of mouth is carrying it well past the 100 million mark and considering the movie only cost 40 million to make it's doing fantastic.

 

Charlie comes in at second with 16 million.

 

Sky High comes it at third with 14 million. This suprised me because the trailers looked horrible but it had a decent week for a children's movie.

 

Stealth like the island is another 100 million dollar bomb. The movie made a little bit above 13 million but the huge cost of making this movie means we have another major flop.

 

Must Love Dogs made a nice 13 million and the movie only cost 30 million to make, it should turn a profit.

Stealth was just a movie that should not have been made, the premise is horrible, and the trailers made me laugh, not good for an action movie.

And to think... Without Vince Vaughn Wedding Crashers would have been straight GARBAGE.

 

But, please... No sequels.
