August 5, 200521 yr Well, I'm officially married The whole week back in MN was very hot and humid ... the day I got married it was in the high 90s ... we had pictures for an hour before the ceremony and then the church didn't have AC, so the reception was a great place to be as we were packing for our honeymoon on saturday night for a flight set to leave at 6:15 AM to Cancun through Charlotte our parents let us know that we should check the weather channel and probably not go anywhere ... Hurricane Emily was bearing down on the Yucatan and our resort was evacuating! at 4 AM the airlines finally allowed us to move our flight without a fee (the rest of the night they said everything was a go - no flight cancelled) ..... we pushed everything back 4 days and ended up having to stay at a different resort because ours is still closed due to hurrican damage Instead of spending the spare time in her parents basement we drove up to the North Shores of Lake Superior and stayed at a beautiful resort ... the lake was crashing on the rocks outside of our room, we could see the lake from the jacuzzi & shower and had a fireplace for the night .... were able to mountain bike, canoe and have fun at a local ski resort ........ great time and great weather (high 70s, low 80s) came back and flew into Cancun (which has the worst airport ever) ..... checking in was a nightmare with the switching of days and the first day started poorly ... but once we settled in it was great .... rained the first two days and nothing but sun for the next 8 Was able to do many fun things, Cozumel, Chichen Itza, Isla Mujeras and Margaritaville for my birthday! - not to mention tons of relaxing, eating, drinking, playing on the beach, kayaking and other activities............. Couple down moments, like when I watched my wedding ring fall to the bottom of the carribean in cozumel ........ that definitely sucked and I still have to figure out how to get my new one ... i bought a temporary one at a market in cozumel, so it's just another story for right now ...... sucks though because of the setiment value ...... blech but all in all a great time ...... about everything went well and the wedding day was flawless (except for the heat) saw many people wearing marlins stuff in mexico, which was super cool and returned to see them keep burnett and try to make a run glad to be back and let's go fish! *clap**clap**clap**clap**clap**clap**clap**clap*
August 5, 200521 yr congrats.....but it sounds like you were pretty busy.....hope you had time for that other "fun" stuff.......hehe
August 5, 200521 yr Author heh ... marlin man we had plenty of time we spent 3 days and 2 nights on lake superior then we spent 10 nights in mexico so although we were busy, i think we were able to spend 4 days in mexico and not leave the resort and when you don't have to go to work, cook or clean, it's amazing how much time there is in a day get a full night of sleep, wake up, have some breakfast, go for a morning boat or bike ride, come back have a couple hours of down time, eat lunch, go do an afternoon activity, read, have another hour of down time, eat dinner and then have a good 4 hours left in the night for whatever you want very hard to get back into the swing of things though
August 5, 200521 yr congratulations man, and sorry to hear about the wedding ring. good luck with everything in the future.
