September 8, 200520 yr the astros and phils are idle. we're one back in the loss column from the astros but if we lose we'll be 1 1/2 games out and 2 out in the loss column. we're a game and a half up on the phils, and thats why tonights game is important for us. if we win tonight, we're only half a game back of the astros, and 2 up against the phillies, therefore, leaving us leeway if we 'screw up' by only taking 1 out of 3 in philadelphia. for most of the season the marlins were behind in the games played because of the makeups in colorado and such, since they have made those games up and lost, we are at somewhat of a disadvantage. tonights game will put us ahead in the games played against the other two teams, which can either put us at an advantage, or a great disadvantage... only time will tell, hopefully it works in our favor. go marlins.
