Marlins fans not from Florida ...

Featured Replies

Just wondering, how people not from florida became Marlins fans.

I actually got into BaseBall this year back in late May. I never liked MLB cause I always thought it was too boring to watch. My freind from study hall, who is a big Braves fan, was talking to me about base ball saying how it's an easy sport to get into, he even suggested that I be a Braves fan. He said, either way, try to search for a base ball game on TV (even kept brining up TBS :lol ).

At first, I did not bother, but I was bored on Sunday. I remember turning to channel 11, back on the last Sunday of May. I remember seeing D-Train pitch, I remember I was dragged into the game because of his pitching style. I was amazed by the leg kick thing and stuff, I just kept thinking, "Wow, thats a pretty cool and rare pitch, you don't really see pitchers throw like that." I never saw the end of it, but the next day my family had a party. One of my uncles is a Mets fan and turned on the final game of that 4 game set with the Mets. I watched it and tryed to key in on names, I learned the teams name finally and caught onto Delgado quite fast from th HR blast he placed. I was pretty happy and became a fan from there on.

My freind seemed a bit shocked when I brought up the Marlins. He told me I should have been a Braves fan and that I picked wrong, but I stay loyal to teams and I did not care. After that, we both felt pretty sorry about our first half set in June (remember both of us consistantly losing? :lol )
