Macha was the A's manager the last three seasons, but was apparently headed elsewhere a week ago when the team failed to come to terms with him on a new deal. Views Macha certainly deserved another shot at managing the small-budget A's after leading them out of a slow start and overcoming key injuries to work their way into contention in the second half.
