Panthers at Devils

Featured Replies

Another night, another poor performance.

Nice to see that the Panthers were able to muster some offense, but they can't keep giving teams 10-15 more shots than they take, and they've to stay out of the penalty box (6-1 on penalties). I mean, if there was a team who was struggling as much as the Panthers lately it was the Devils, and it didn't really show all that much today. It's really growing concerning that teams are having their way with the Panthers in every aspect. Yes, I know that Nieuwendyk and Roberts and Olesz didn't play, but the other guys just have to step it up...

I thought we played a good game, minus the penalties.

Yeah, but the Devils didn't play a great game and they still won.

Looked a lot better than they did yesterday though.

Looked a lot better than they did yesterday though. I would like to see this team come back more disciplined in the next game, though. But I do think that we have found a goal scorer in Kolnik and Horton. And Stewart too. Also, they need to change stick companies, now. I have never seen so many damn sticks break for no reason whatsoever. And that has caused a lot of the issues in the games. Chances being missed cause sticks are breaking.

I think the team needs Roberts more than anything. Not even for the scoring, but he's such an agitator that he always finds ways to draw penalties. Maybe keep the penalties a little more balanced if the team can't be more disciplined...

I think we are coming back to reality a little more. We are not the greatest team but we are pretty good. If we had played the devils at home we might have won.

BTW I think I just convinced 3 friends to drive up from boston to see the panthers at montreal nov 1st! I will keep you posted. If we do go, I will do my best to get arrested at the game
