MrAndMrsFish
MILWAUKEE ? (AP) ? Jeff Cirillo decided to stay with the Milwaukee Brewers, agreeing Monday to an $850,000, one-year contract. The 36-year-old infielder missed two months with a broken finger last season, when he hit .281 with four homers and 23 RBIs. Cirillo began his career with Milwaukee in 1994 and has a team-record batting average of .306 in seven seasons with the Brewers. He also played for Colorado, Seattle and San Diego. In addition to his base salary, he would earn $100,000 bonuses for 150, 200 and 250 plate appearances. Milwaukee paid him the minimum $316,000 last season, with the Padres paying the rest of his $6.9 million salary under the deal he agreed to with Colorado in July 2000.
