Early game so watched the condensed highlights. Series win. Once again we beat up on the bad teams. Big series against Philly. 2 of 3 would be spectacular. 1 of 3 more likely and acceptable. Sweep would be death knell. Have a 12-game stretch after Phillies that will make or break the season. Nats, Royals, Red Sox, Nats. That's if we don't get swept.

Is there any chance this umpire faces some sort of discipline for his performance tonight. His strike zone has been absolutely atrocious. That's for both teams as well.

Zuber is another guy no serious contender would have on their major league roster. His name also reminds me of those hideous Zubaz pants.

Same with Berto. You can see why these guys with outstanding tools get released. It's because they have low baseball IQs and don't do the little things. 2 on, 0 outs, down 1 you have to advance the runner/s. Bert strikes out swinging. Gusto is ok one time through order, but he's no spring chicken and is a placeholder for someone who is probably much better. We have a few of these guys on the roster who won't have spots when out prospects are ready and/or injured guys get healthy.

He has always been a terrible fielder and might have the worst arm in the majors. People get fooled by his speed into thinking he's a range-covering plus fielder. He does have a good hit tool and his speed is plus plus but in truth he is a late-inning pinch running type of guy.

Just unbelievable. FUNDAMENTAL baseball.
