Jazz trade and Luzardo trade are absolutely flops at this point. Those two guys together have like 16 WAR between them since traded and the guys they got back are well into the negatives.

Sounds like most of our big trades for a while now.

I didn't have a problem trading Jazz, as he had a Primadonna attitude........I also think he has benefited heavily from being in a strong lineup with the Yankees, so he's able to build on those around him (baserunners, approach, etc), whereas here, he was "the" guy, and really the only guy in the lineup, so he could be pitched around, and/or tries to push too hard because of that.

Edward Cabrera was absolutely a guy they should've moved when we did. He may turn it around, but he was always injury prone and inconsistent.....that's continued with the Cubs.

Luzardo, we can obviously view with hindsight, but it was a less clear case of trading him.

In the Luzardo trade thread, it made no sense why they traded them then besides saving on his salary that year. The return at the time looked very flimsy even at the time, and now it looks absolutely terrible.

I personally had no issue with jazz shenanigans and at least he had a personality. Getting negative value guys back for him is pretty unacceptable though.

Bendix has had his hits, but he’s always whiffed pretty massively on a lot

I don't necessarily mind shenanigans either, as long as they're not a distraction, and I felt like it was becoming that. That said, I'll 100% agree that getting negative returns isn't good and no reason to drive a trade just because.

This is literally the "Oh No We Suck Again Game. "

Ron Darling on the SNY telecast calling this the Christopher Morel Game.

Fuck him too.
