tealmarlin
If the marlins cant get a stadium built in FLORIDA, Contraction would be an option. That to me would be the best thing to do. I am reading members posts about how if the marlins move out of state, they would not support the team anymore. So why dont we just end it right now, why bother untill 2008?? So why dont we just end it right now, why bother untill 2008?? because MLB would have to pay Loria a sh!tload to contract the team, not to mention flooding the free agent market with all of the Marlins organizational players. They'd be better off helping pay for a new stadium than contracting - this isn't the mid 90s when MLB was in financial trouble, by all accounts, their financials have never been rosier. canesfins
I dont think MLB will contract a team that has won 2 world series. There are markets out there that will support this baseball team, even if ours doesnt.
geemoney
I don't believe the Marlins will be contracted.

PBMarlin
The lawsuits would be incredible if they tried. If they couldn't contract the Expos and Twins, they sure wouldn't be able to contract the Marlins.
