Loria: "I had a real good cry"

Featured Replies

He's a guy who cares about the team & wants to win, and what's happening is not easy for him. Of that I have no doubt.

Agreed completly.

I think that's why we're seeing Samson take more control. It's not because of any divorce or change in power. Loria can not do what is necessary to save the Marlins. It's not certain Samson can either, but he's been entrusted by Loria to right the ship.

Didn't he have a good cry with Panavo too when he left to the Yankees? LOL, This guy is a joke, he is a good owner and commited to winning, but what is he doing now? Dismantling a team that had foudations, with just a couple of pieces, this team could have been in the world series every year! Loria your no Steinbrenner, LEARN how business is done, you spend money to make money. yea sure the Yankees lost money, but their was no report saying that they were in the negatives! It just shows how much they lost out of the profits. The Yankees wouldn't have support if they were losing. Miami is the same case, you win you get 70K every night, and that is the statement that proves that this front office needs to stay in Miami, cause they know if they do get a stadium this team will automatically become a big market club. Stop crying Loria and make things happen, bastard!

Foundations? The only foundations worth a damn are still here in Dontrelle and Miguel. The 2005 team had names and talent, but they had a short shelf life and couldn't play worth a damn. The 2004 team didn't lose solely because of the playoffs, the 2005 team didn't lose solely because of McKeon. The teams weren't good enough and the only way to fix them was to ship some player out. Granted, the restructure has been a bit much. But we're getting back good players and now our core fits the age of Miggy and Dontrelle and will win many titles in the future.

Loria spent money in 04-05 and all he got back were .500 clubs, still low attendance and no conclusion to the stadium issue.
