Breaking News:

 

ALBUQUERQUE -- Local police agencies, the FBI, and the ATF have announced they are searching for a large quantity of explosives stolen from a company in Bernalillo County.

At a joint news conference on Monday it was announced that enough explosives to level a large building were stolen from an undisclosed location in Bernalillo County over the weekend.

 

Several hundred pounds of explosives in putty form, and blasting caps were taken from Cherry Engineering, Inc. on Sunday.

 

An ATF agent described the explosives as potentially ver dangerous when in trained hands.

 

The Bernalillo County Sheriff?s Department, Albuquerque Police, ATF, New Mexico State Police, and the FBI are working together in the investigation.

 

The ATF and the FBI are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the explosives. If you have information, you?re asked to call CrimeStoppers at 843-STOP.
