I want to make a video of the fish

Featured Replies

Recently i had to do a video project for school, and for the first time ever i found out that i have an editing program on my computer. I guess windows movie maker comes standard upon instalation. Anyways, it was really a fun process editing these video clips that we filmed. so i was wondering if it was possible to make a highlight reel for the fish. can u take video clips from mlb.com? :whistle

You can rip the videos off of mlb.com using any sort of streaming media ripper... I use StreamDown.

Could someone tell me how to get the URLs for the streaming videos on MLB.com?

On your internet browser tool bar go to View/Page Source and it will show you the HMTL for the page

Should I be looking for the URL on the referral page on MLB.com or on the video window itself?

I am having trouble finding a URL in a format that StreamDown will accept.

hey el penguino did u buy streamdown or are u doing the 15 day free trial thingy.

yea i want to do the free trial but im going to wait till the season starts so i can get some good footage. a couple of questions: is there a limit on the number of downloads per day? Is it easy to do, and do you need any extra programs to have it work? one more... my friend twrek said that some times the free trial videos let you download whatever but the video has the companies logo smack in the middle of it, and then it says when you buy the program the video wont have the logo. therefore does the video have streamdown logo in the middle of it? because i plan pn using the 15 day free trial and not buy it :mischief :lolup

I still am having trouble finding a good URL, so if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Once you open up the MLB.com media player window and the video starts to play, right-click in the video and then click properties. Try the link that is listed under location. It should look similar to this: mms://a1503.v108692.c10869.g.vm.akamaistream.net/7/1503/10869/v0001/mlb.download.akamai.com/10869/2005/open/topplays/archive08/083105_slnflo_hermida_gs_350.wmv?ct1=mlb
