Nintendo DS kicking some serious arse. :thumbup

 

Definatly my favorite system right now.

I askded for a DS for Christmas and can't wait to open it. Definitely put my Christmas over the top this year.

 

I'm getting Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Trauma Center: Under the Knife. Both use the stylus touch screen in different ways. In Phoenix Wright you have to sift through evidence at crime scenes in order to figure out who's lying and who isn't to help build your case so you can cross-examine witnesses. While Trauma center you take on the role of a surgeon and the stylus pen is used to make incisions, etc.

 

But, with Mario 64 (revamped), Animal Crossing, Advanced Wars and a few other titles it looks like a heck of a little portable. Weird how much it sells compared to it's console counterparts (but those consoles are also 3-5 years older, except for the 360). So, that chart kind of makes sense.

 

Just plain weird how DS is catching fire now, though.

Well the Xbox never did well in Japan either. Its either going to be Nintendo or Sony in Japan and pretty much nothing else.

 

 

And those DS sales are amazing!! Not bad for a handheld many people labeled a gimmick about a year ago! :notworthy

It's not that weird, Nintendo DS was kinda meh until Wi-Fi was announced and Mario Kart and Animal crossing came out. Then there's the great games like Castlevania, Advance Wars, and Sonic Rush that came out recently that really made it worth owning. Metriod Prime Hunters is gonna be a huge hit and Age of Empires should be kewl.

I know, it just seems like this was posted to show how poorly the 360 was doing in Japan. If that wasn't the reason then disregard my comment. :whistle

I think my girl bought me a DS (I'll find out tonight), but I like it a lot. It's very addictive. And Japanese are probably waiting for PS3/Revolution before they make their move.
