50,000 Airline Miles on united for 500 dollars

I found this link, and its a great deal. You have to sign up for some luxary travel thing that cost 500 dollars, but you get 50,000 miles which is worth it. If you sign up for this and then sign up for the credit card on united.com (or already have 10,000 miles) you can go anywhere they fly. So for 550 dollars (price of 50,000 and credit card) you can go to Australia which normally cost 1,400 to go.

I already have 25,000 miles so I might get two of these cards and get two tickets to the land down under for $1,000. That is 300 dollars less than the cost of one ticket if you were to pay cash for it

This wouldve been a great deal about 10 years ago. Try redeeming frequent flyer miles and then get back to me. I have 50,000 miles on an airline and Ive been looking at flights to Europe for many months that are way in the future-there are no seats. What airlines do now is reserve about 1-2 seats for frequent flyer miles on most expensive flights and they disappear very quickly.

I was checking that out, and to Europe it is hard to find seats. However to Australia, where I want to go, there are plenty of seats. Usually they say you need to look a few months in advance, but I found seats at the end of january which is high season there.

 

I guess it depends where you want to go. Europe sells out the quickest, but its usually not worth it cashing in miles to go there because you can find a decent fare.
