Buying a printer

Featured Replies

Ya I'm going to Best Buy or Circuit City to get a printer...One of those 3-in-1 deals. I'm pretty sure they average about 100 bucks, but that isn't much of a problem.

I need a relatively small one (in contract with the bulkier ones that I've seen) to fit on my dorm computer. I'd say I have like 14 inches to work with (from front to back). I could always put the printer somewhere else, but I like to keep everything organized.

Anyway, what's the best printer in your opinion (experience?). I'm going with my cousin, who is a computer nut, so I should come out fine...But I wanted to test a large sample size to see if there is some kind of general consensus.

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice, guys. As always, my mb brethren come to my calling.

I got the HP PSC 1610...All-in-one, with good speed and good quality. Can also upload digital camera pics right into the machine.

I believe it's also small enough to fit on my shelf.

I suggest the Canon S300.

Get old ass printers. All these new ones waste ink like Hummers. And it's expensive too.

you can't go wrong with the HP all in ones. i've got a 2400 and a 2600 with network capabilites. its great i print from anywhere in my apartment. also, if ur gonna use the camera feature. buy the HP Pro High Gloss paper its like $15 for 60 sheets, the quality is incredible. looks like you have a photo lab inn your own home. quality printer dude. and...if u ever lose ur cd or what not hp has all their drivers online.
