Man i feel sorry for cab's he's about 1 for his last 60,he's in a major slump i think mckeon should put mordi at third, what do you think mckeon should do?let him get outta it by himself or put someone else at third etc.?

leave Cabs....

We're going to be playing 3 games this weekend in that little tiny stadium in Puerto Rico. I want Cabrera in for those games. If he's still slumping after playing in that park, then I'd think about sitting him for a game or two.

FYI: Cabs is 1 for his last 34 after his first AB this afternoon. Kinda cuddles up nicely with 2 for 33 Sea Bass has got going.

3 for 77. Do the math...... That's somewhere around .040 I think?

0.038961038961038961038961038961039 :D

Hopefully, they can get going soon. Perhaps a day of both Mordecai and Fox at 3B/SS would do them some good.

.038 combined. THink about that for a second. Without looking, I'd bet that most NL pitchers have a better BA than that.

I'd even go so far as to say that most of us could at least match that average if we were thrown in the lineup. It's that low.

.038. Kinda takes a few seconds to wrap your mind around it. Mendoza line where are you?????

Pavano's average is about twice as much, and the Mendoza line is about five times as much. I don't know if I could even do that well - I think that was my average last time I played in Little League at AAA. :) I did walk a few times and was probably the leader in getting hit by pitches though!

Wonder if Penny can gobble up some grounders on the left side? He's Babe Freakin' Ruth compared to the chump patrol out there right now.

OR MATT ERICKSON OR KEVIN HOOPER.

meh

They're still playing in the Playoffs. One or both could get called up later, but I doubt they'll play much.

Hi. Sarcastic post, meet legitimate reply. Legitimate reply, meet sarcastic post, or do you two know each other already?

When Mike Lowell comes back for the Playoffs and Cabrera is still semi slumping we will see a change in the lineup. Conine will remain in left field, Lowell will go to 3rd, and Cabrera will come off the bench. But Cabrera, who played SS in the minors, could switch to Short if AGon is still sucking. BUT, Alex broke out of his slump today by getting a hit and a homer and Cabrera got a hit too, so it is great to have our bats hot going into San Juan!

Cabs hasnt played SS in awhile

McKeon wont rest him. Look at this article...

McKeon won't rest Cabrera

Marlins rookie Miguel Cabrera moved back to his natural position after All-Star third baseman Mike Lowell broke his left hand Saturday night.

More on the Marlins

But while Cabrera, who had been playing in left field, appears comfortable at third, he remains in an offensive slump.

Cabrera entered Wednesday's game in a 1-for-30 slide. When asked whether he might consider resting Cabrera for a game, Marlins manager Jack McKeon said he plans to let Cabrera hit his way out.

"I think I'm going to stick with him for a while," McKeon said. "I just think if we show him that we believe in him and he can get a hit or two, he'll be OK."

Cabrera said: "It's late in the season now. I don't think we need the rest. We need the wins, every game."

Cabrera is hitting.136 in his past 12 games after hitting.375 in 15 games before that.

"I think he'll snap out of it," McKeon said. "He plays a good third base. No matter what you say, we're going to have to have him and (Juan) Encarnacion and (Alex) Gonzalez. Somebody's got to get hot."

Marlins still Puerto Rico bound: P.J. Loyello, the Marlins' vice president of communications, said the team plans to leave for San Juan, Puerto Rico, today despite initial concerns about Hurricane Fabian could force officials to move the weekend series against the Expos to Montreal.

The Marlins and Expos begin a three-game series Friday in San Juan, where Montreal is playing part of its schedule.

"We're going to Puerto Rico," Loyello said Wednesday evening. "Hopefully it won't (rain).... We'll just take our chances."
