February 15, 200620 yr Steve Moore - C - Avalanche Steve Moore has filed a civil lawsuit against Todd Bertuzzi in Moore's home province of Ontario. Moore's lawyer Tim Danson filed the lawsuit on Tuesday in Ontario Superior Court. The suit names Bertuzzi, Orca Bay Limited Partnership, Orca Bay Hockey Inc. and the Canucks as defendants. Moore, along with his parents, are seeking $15-million for loss of income, $2-million in punitive damages and $1-million in aggravated damages. Jack and Anna Moore, who are also named as part of the lawsuit, are seeking $1.5-million in damages. The timing of the lawsuit is strange with Todd Bertuzzi in Turin with the Canadian Olympic team, as Moore and his lawyers could have done it earlier or after the Olympics ended. February 15, 200620 yr Good, I hope Steve Moore takes Bertuzzi for every penny that he's worth. If Bertuzzi has any amount of character, he'll settle this out of court and give Steve Moore what he deserves for essentially ending his career. $10 million is a reasonable amount Steve Moore could have expected to make over the course of his career, even if he was just a 3rd line journeyman. If you want $10 million, then you sue for $15 million.
