Olli Making A Splash In The Olympics

Featured Replies

Olli Jokinen - C - Panthers

Olli Jokinen scored twice, including the winner, as Finland defeated the United States 4-3 in quarterfinal action at the Olympics.

Sami Salo and Ville Peltonen also scored for Finland. Mike Knuble and Matheieu Schneider scored the first two goals for the U.S. Brian Gionta scored with 4:27 left in the third to close the gap to one, but the Americans couldn't beat Finnish goaltender Antero Niittymaki the rest of the way, despite a flurry of activity around the Finnish net. Finland now goes on to play the winner of the Canada- Russia match and the United States goes home. Feb. 22 - 2:35 pm et

Not that I am a Finland fan but congrats to our Olli olli!~ Now sign on the dotted line :)

I am deeply suprised the Canadians lost. Pavel really put together a strong Russian team with heart this year. The Finns don't suprise me as they have been the best team of this tourney and one of the best the last few years. Its awesome to see Olli having a great olympics. Hopefully, he continues when he returns.

the only thing that scares me about the Olli Olli chants is that the better he does over there the more it is going to cost the Panthers to keep him

Not really. Cause his olympics play has nothing to do with an NHL level contract.
