Spring Training Help

Marlin Fans! I must admit I am a "new" Marlins fan . . . There are some new faces on the roster that I have close relationships with and am excited to see their contribution to the Marlins. I am confident Joe Girardi is the right man for the job and although young, every game will be competitive. I am planning a trip to Jupiter to watch these guys the last week in March. Can anyone help me with the area as far as what to do and places to go besides attendance at Roger Dean Stadium. I know hotels are an arm and a leg in the area . . . what are other options? Your help is appreciated and Go Fish!

Roger Dean's in the middle of Abacoa which is an interesting development. Around the stadium there are a few restaurants...if you like Japanese food and want to try your luck at meeting the players, all sorts of Marlins go to Masa's Sagami which is the Hibachi Steak place across from the stadium.

Other than that, the fun stuff is in downtown West Palm Beach in City Place and Clematis, if you're looking for night life.

The hotels shouldn't be astronomical if you're not looking for the 5-star treatment.

Other than that, I guess it depends what you're looking for...

J.J. Muggs Bar & Grill is also popular with the players. It's right across the street from the ballpark.

Thanks for the info. I put those restraunts and Pub in the notes for the trip. Hotels are still a question, does anyone know of any "decent" place for under $100/night?

Looking forward to the trip and watching Marlins baseball.

The area immediatly around Roger Dean's looks like an awesome place to live. That whole area is ridiculously rich and thus very nice. It's hard to go to Ft. Lauderdale stadium after going to Jupiter.
