Marlins Spring Break Week

Featured Replies

Looks like the Marlins will play almost every game the week of Spring Break in South Florida (at least here in Lee County) during the day.

Tuesday, April 11 vs Padres 4:05 PM FSN

Wednesday, April 12 vs Padres 1:05 PM FSN

Thursday, April 13 vs Padres 1:05 PM FSN

Friday, April 14 vs Nationals 7:35 PM FSN

Saturday, April 15 vs Nationals 6:05 PM No TV

Sunday, April 16 vs Nationals 1:05 PM No TV

I heard DVH mention it as Marlins Spring Break Week and it makes perfect sense to market those day games that way. I went to a daygame between the Phils and Marlins at DS a couple of years ago when the Marlins were finishing off a 4 game sweep and was surprised to see DS full (for a weekday game, 22-24k is full) of kiddies from local summer camps or with the grandparents. Hopefully they can attract more than just summer camps, but maybe some families with kids off for the week and some older kids who won't be in high school due to the break week.

I expect fairly good attendance (over 20k average) counting Spring Break and it being Opening Week.

This works out pretty well, I get to go to the home opener and dont have to worry about missing a day of school.
