March 10, 200620 yr For some stupid reason, DirecTV doesn't carry ESPN Deportes and as a result none of us DirecTV customers can watch half of the WBC games. I just called DirecTV and they told me it usually only takes 50 to 100 people to request a channel for DirecTV to actually add it to the lineup so i'm kinda surprised they don't already have it. If you're a DirecTV customer, please call up DirecTV customer service and tell them you want them to carry ESPN Deportes!
March 11, 200620 yr If it only takes that many people than we really need people to request WWE 24/7. I know there are plenty of wrestling fans here and plenty of people that dont watch wrestling any more but liked it back then and would enjoy watching all the old material.
March 11, 200620 yr It takes a deal to be reached that makes dollars and sense for both sides. DirecTV has been duped into YES and ESPN contracts in the past and played hardball with ESPN this last time around and ESPN Deportes didn't get added. Dish Network carries it on the Spanish packages, but I didn't add one to the English pack because it costs $25 and I have no use for it. Isn't DirecTV carrying WBC games nationwide on ESPN's Alternate Channels like Dish is? I know WJAN 41 in Miami is on DirecTV and carrying a bunch of games via ESPN Syndication. I know, a Spanish station carrying games in English.

March 13, 200620 yr Dish Network is covering all the WBC, they have ESPN, ESPN 2 and ESPN Desportes :cool Finally, Charlie has beat DirecTV at something sports. (Although I give him credit for having Altitude Sports with the Nuggets and Avalanche before anyone else.)
March 13, 200620 yr Thank god they moved the USA game today from Deportes to ESPN2. All Pool 1, Semifinal, and Final games should be on ESPN or ESPN2...and in HD! Some Pool 2 games will be on ESPN or ESPN2. All games will be on ESPN Deportes one way or another. I think only 1 more game will not be on English TV as of right now (CUB-PR?) and not many more are ESPN Syndication (around 4 or 5 more).
