April 2, 200620 yr Tremendous effort as always.....Bret looked great and he being my favorite wrestler spoke eloquently....I'm glad to see Bret and Vince have buried the hatchet...or at least Bret has...
April 2, 200620 yr Some thoughts on the WWE.com H.O.F. show that preceeded the USA one..... The Blackjacks speech was alright, hampered by Blackjack Lanza's shots at Bobby Heenan, which apparently is a continuation from when The Brain got inducted a few years back and Lanza embarrassed Heenan as his presenter. Greg Gagne inducting his dad was okay, but Greg went a little overboard talking about HIS kids. Verne is really aging (mind and body). Cena got booed out of the building while inducting The Fridge, who kept his speech short. Great pop for Dibiase, who even tossed money to the crowd. He had a good induction speech. Sherri's was a spectacle- probably the most entertaining (and longest) segment of the evening. S.D. Jones was like a sleeping pill after Sherri. However, Tony Atlas made a great acceptance speech. Okerlund was fairly entertaining. As expected, Eddie's induction was emotional, and apparently, a lot of Vicki's speech was edited. Austin and Hogan's (non) interaction was really interesting. With Bret up there too, it was like a who's who in wrestling politics. As for Bret's speech, there are reports from some that his speech went another 25-30 minutes that didn't air on USA. Guess we'll have to wait for the DVD.
