Posted September 16, 200321 yr Dont worry, i am not going to jinx this for you superstitious types out there, but there is something that we have going for us. You get the sense that the Marlins are playing loose, winning and have the ultimate confidence in themselves - no matter what. The Phillies, however, have such great expectations (due in part to their bloated payroll) that they are feeling the pressure and may be being crushed by it. Something to keep your eye on anyway...just look at the quotes from the Herald article today to get a sense of the moods in each clubhouse...
September 16, 200321 yr I don't know if the Marlins are feeling the preasure. However, I as a fan feel so nervous today that I hope Pavano is not feeling the same.  I'll be glue to the TV tonight. I have a feeling that this 3 games series will be decisive towards the WC race.
September 16, 200321 yr OK, so what medication do you guys recommend to deal with diarrhea, heartburn and low preasure? Â I have a feeling I will need it soon.
September 16, 200321 yr Tonight is so important!!! A win puts us on great track to finish the series, put a loss could prove devastating!
September 16, 200321 yr Oh man, I've been waiting for this game since yesterday..... 60 minutes until H-Hour!
September 16, 200321 yr 60 minutes until H-Hour! your sounding just like Willis#1 when he was waiting till the marlins announced the player they would get (conine)

Read any baseball book, and you'll here that what makes a good player is the mental game. What makes the mental game? Confidence and relaxing under the pressure. What pops the mental game? Tightenning up under pressure (also see: Phillies).
September 17, 200321 yr Author The Phils got it going last night. But I think the good thing about being routed is it is less likely to happen again. They may have, pardon the expression, blew their load last night. We'll see if the Marlins respond like champs or run and hide like chumps. I think we rise to the occasion...this team is resilient.
