Some one in my league offered this trade to me.

I Get:SP G. Maddux,Cubs-- I Give:RP J. Papelbon, Boston

Maddux

REC 5-0 | SV 0 | ERA 1.35 | WHIP .87

Papelbon

REC 0-0 | SV 10 | ERA .00 | WHIP .59

I wouldn't, unless you absolutely need a closer.

You're selling high on both, but Maddux has a track record, Papelbon is unproven and more likely to plateau as teams get their second and third looks at him.

it's a difficult one because u wonder which one of the two will keep up pitching as they have. Maddux is old, and is doing well so far, but you don't know if he'll do this good all season; Papelbon is a rookie, and you don't know if the pressure will finally get to him and he'll start sucking. My say is get the rookie if u really need a closer, but Maddux might prove valuable if he stays sharp, although idk with chicago's dwindling offense how many more wins he will get.
