Almonte suspended: Reliever Hector Almonte will serve a two-game suspension starting on Thursday because of an incident that occurred when he was with the Boston Red Sox. On June 27, the Red Sox pounded the Florida Marlins, 25-8. Late in that game, Marlins pitcher Blaine Neal hit designated hitter David Ortiz with a pitch.
