I was wondering if any of you guys knew how Taylor Tankersly is handling himself in the minors this year. He seemed to be close to getting a job in the pen this year and I haven't really heard a thing about him since. i know I could probably find some stats somewhere, but I figure some of you guys are really into our minor league teams so you'd know better than a stat sheet could show.

Well he didnt make the team due to concerns over his control, so the idea was for him to go down and work on that. In 18 or so innings he has walked 11 batters, so there is still some work to be done there. On the bright side though, he has a 1.45 era, and a very impressive 26 strikeouts (almost one and a half per inning).

 

So things are shaping up quite well for him, just keep an eye on his walk totals when checking box scores:)

Thanks for the news. It sounds like this guy could be a dominant force in the 'pen for years to come. If this guy and Bowyer pan out, they could form a pretty fearsome bullpen around them.

Anyone have his numbers vs. left-handed batters? Are we looking at a future LH specialist perhaps???

He currently has slightly better numbers against RHBs, but as its just a 18 2/3 inning sample size it doesnt show any definitive trends.
