*Albuquerque, Nic Ungs hopes to bounce back after getting shelled in his last outing.

*Carolina, Improved (you were right marlinsman) lefty Paul Mildren takes on Tennessee's Steven Jackson.

*Jupiter, Daniel Barone gets his second High-A start after his dominant performance in Low-A Greensboro.

*Greensbor, Sean West, the man with the highest ceiling of our 2005 pitching draftees hopes to continue his success.

You think West has more potential than Volstad or Thompson?

I wish I could see these guys pitch...JUST ONCE!

I need to find some online clips of them or something. Stats do not do them justice.

And I'm intrigued to see what Barone can do...

I thought Thompson then West was the highest then Mercadox (sp) for his killer stuff?

So you just took Volstad out of the top 3?

West is pitching daaamn good right now

No runs through 7 with 8Ks and only one walk I think. Looks like the fans are taking home waffles again :plain They are going to the 8th right now.

That 29/4 K/BB ratio is mighty fine.

Also, Jenkins got another start at 3B. I like.

I think it's safe to say that this staff is pretty ridiculous right now. All of them are pitching decently and West has been the best so far. (despite being out with an injury for a little while) Then Thompson then Volstad. And as for Marceaux, I don't think he has made a start yet this year.

volstad is the most polished with the quickest track to the majors in the cards, but, yes, west does have the highest ceiling, but the longest road to reach it. thompson's is second highest with an ETA of mid-late 2007. These are just scouting reports Ive read, which are, of course subject to change.
