June 13, 200620 yr Mets without Kaz: 3-0 and just rolled over the Dbacks in a 4 game series in Arizona. The Mets have now won 11 straight games on the road against the D Backs. We officially own them. I could beat the DBacks right now. They were sliding before all the Grimsley stuff and now with it, they're coming apart at the seams. I wouldn't chalk up the 3 wins because Kaz left. Didn't they just sweep a 4 game series against the braves in Atlanta? They're not great, but they're good. Your team is good, no doubts. But it's not because you got rid of Kaz Matsui No, but the point was he was adding nothing at all. In fact, wasting his roster spot was hurting more than having him on the team was helping. Speaking of which, who has Kaz's roster spot now? Marrero?

Speaking of which, who has Kaz's roster spot now? Marrero? For now it's Marrero. It appears that Nady or Bannister will take his spot when they come back allowing them to keep Milledge or Soler at the ML level. The move was really about flexibility on the 40 man.
