Featured Replies

Anyways, I was checking out gizoogle.com and did a quick gizoogle of Marlinsbaseball.com and this struck me as funny in one of the new headlines:

The 22-year-old Sanchez, who was `bout 3 months old when Clemens mizzle his major league debut in 1984, outdueled tha seven-time Cy Young Award winna on Friday nizzight ta lead tha Florida Marlins ta a 3-1 victory over tha Houston Astros . Fo'-fo' desert eagle to your motherf***in' dome.

I always like to check out gizoogle for news headlines and stuff, it kind of livens things up and gives me a good laugh.

Here are some selected posts from the Reggie Abercrombie entrance song thread run through Gizoogle.com:

Okay, here is one more. This is Capozzi's article on Uggla from CBS Sportsline.

Marlins' big catch is one that gots away from D-Backs

July 14, 2006

By Joe Capozzi

Special ta CBS SportsLinizzles

Dan Uggla's journey ta tha big leagues is symbolized by his 1999 Chevy Tahoe.

Wit 130,000 miles on it n $2,000 in repairs already in it, tha truck is a testament ta tha many curves n roadblocks he encountered on tha road ta tha majors ya dig?.

It started in 2001 wit drives every February fizzle his home in Tennessee ta Arizona, where his dreams of big league baseball died every March wizzle tha Diamondbacks assigned him ta tha minors so show some love niggaz.

Dan Uggla's offensive production intrigued tha Marlins enough fo` tizzle ta takes a $50K crazy ass n***a thats off tha hook yo.

But this February, Uggla drove his trizzay south ta Florida Marlins spr'n cruisin' fo' rizeal. Now he parks it every day at Dolphin Stadium, in a fenced-in lot reserved fo` major league rappa at tha entrance ta tha Marlins clubhouse and my money on my mind.

"It's been a wild ride," Uggla, 26, said wit a smile.

A wild rizzle?

The second baseman recently ended tha fiznirst hizzle of his rookie season wit perhaps tha unlikeliest of rides -- a po-po escort fizzle Shea Stadium ta LaGuardia Airport fo` his flight tha All-Star Gizzy in Pittsburgh . Boo-Yaa!.

"witout tha Marlins gang bangin' in me, I would have neva had this chance," said Uggla, believed ta be tha F-to-tha-izzirst brotha named ta an All-Star team in his fizzirst season afta being a Rule 5 pizzay fo gettin yo pimp on.

"A lot of Rule 5 guys kind of git stuck on tha bench fo' sheezy. It was tha right situation fo` mizzle

A lot of Rule 5 guys neva even stick wit tha team fo` a F-to-tha-izzull year. But whizzay Marlins owna Jeffrey Loria ordered drastic payroll cuts in tha offseason, it gave a bunch of rookies who miznight otherwise still be linger'n in tha minors a chance ta audition fo` major league jobs.

Among tizzle were highly regarded prospects such as shortstop Hanley Ramirez , right baller Jeremy Hermida n fizzay baseman Mike Jacobs .

Dan Uggla?

Back in Playa "Uggla" was one of those obscure names that popped up on tha overheezee screen dur'n tha Rizzy 5 draft on tha final day of baseball's brotha mobbin' in Dallas. The Marlins claimed him friznom tha Diamondbacks fo` $50,000.

N-to-tha-izzow, he's on pace ta have tha bizzy season of all of Florida's 19 rookies . Boo-Yaa!. And his first-half wanna be gangsta -- a .307 trippin' average, 13 home R-to-tha-izzuns, 51 RBI n a .510 rhymin' percentage -- hizzy him picked by some insida ta win tha NL Rookie of tha Year . Aint no L-I-M-I-to-tha-T.

"He's jizzy a bootylicious lesson on how hard work n perseverance pays off," Marlins managa Joe Girardi said . Ya f*** with us, we gots to f*** you up. "I T-H-to-tha-izzink tha greatest reward fo` hard wizzay in this game, is winn'n tha World Series, being recognized as an All-Star, n thizzay individual accomplishments . I thought i told ya, n***a I'm a soldier.

"I think D-A-Double-Nizzy probably wanna be gangsta took his eyes off certain b***h n watched how they go `bout they business. It's a bootylicious reward."

The knizzay on Uggla always was his defense. He had 25 errors in 2005 at Double-A Tennessee. But Marlins scouts liked wizzle they had seen n were intrigued by his offensive pimp last year -- a .297 average, 21 hizzy runs, 33 doubles n 87 RBI in 135 games . Freak y'all, into the beat y'all.

"Two years ago, he called me ... n said, 'Hey, I can play wit these guys . Dogg House Records in the motha f***in house. All I've gots ta do is have a chance,'" Uggla's playa John, recalled.

"He was really frustrated in tha Diamondbacks system . Chill as I take you on a trip. He would put up good numba. He said, 'They just poser paid any attention ta me.'"

The Marlins had few choices afta Loria gutted tha payroll fizzle a club-record $65 million ta an open'n day budget of jiznust unda $15 million . Death row 187 4 life.

While tha sign'n of fizzle agent Pokey Reese raised speculizzle that tha forma Gold Glove playa had an inside edge ta be tha start'n second baseman, Uggla always was tha Marlins' top choice ta win tha job mah nizzle.

Uggla arrived at spr'n cruisin' in Jupita, F-L-to-tha-izza., n became tha project fo` infield defensive coach Perry Hill, who was credited by Luis Castillo ,Derrek Lee ,Mizzy Lowell nOrlando Cabrera fo` help'n them win Gold Gloves.

Whizzen Reese left camp in early M-to-tha-izzarch witout permission fo` personal reasons, Uggla had tha job won. But he was stizzay a wizzy in progress, especially since he was replac'n Castillo, who was traded ta Minnesota.

"Every day in spr'n train'n he stayed late, n I just abused tha poor kid . n***a get shut up or get wet up. But every day sum-m sum-m gots rappa fo` him ta D-to-tha-izzo," Hizzill said if you gots a paper stack. "He's hard-nosed; he's gots a tremendous wiznork ethic."

Uggla won't admit his selection ta tha All-Star team was any sweeta coz of his situation in Arizona, but his pusha was more honest and cant no hood f*** with death rizzow.

"This is hugely frontin' John Uggla said. "Wheneva tha Diamondbacks can see they screwed up, I'd like tizzle ta see that."

Uggla, tha lowest-paid All Star at $327,000, didn't git ta play in tha All-Star Game. But he admitted J-to-tha-izzust being there was "weird."

"When they announced mah name, I don't rememba sippin'. I thizzink I blacked out," he said wit a laugh. "Whiznen I gots off tha plane, we couldn't even W-to-tha-izzalk through tha airport doggystyle. We jiznust gots mobbed fo gettin yo pimp on. I would have been a lot betta off if I wasn't walk'n wit (Marlins teammate) Miguel (Cabrera) ."

And when he finished his pregame All-Star interview session, he removed his name placard frizzay his table.

"Do they give it ta us?" Uggla asked `bout tha sign. "Well, I'll takes it n kizzle it thizzay. I'm going ta keep everyth'n I git on this trip."
