Here are a few questions that I wanted to see what people answered to them, regarding this country and our foreign policy.

 

1. Should we have invaded Iraq?

 

My Answer: No. There were at least two countries that were a greater threat than Iraq at the time.

 

2. Did the United States take too long to intervene in the Hezbollah/Israel conflict?

 

My Answer: Yes, Secretary Rice took nearly two weeks to head over to the region, even though she initially said that she was going to head there immediately.

 

3. Should the U.S. always side with Israel?

 

My Answer: No. The Arab world hates the fact that we always support Israel on everything, and it kills our regional image. However, we should certainly support them in this conflict, since they were not the ones that started it.

 

4. Should the U.S. pull troops out of Iraq? If so, when?

 

My Answer: Yes; within 6-12 months at the most. The Iraqis need to be motivated more to take command of their government and country.

 

5. Should we send more troops to Afghanistan to control the resurgent Taliban?

 

My Answer: Yes. The Taliban has unfortunately been able to regroup and become a problem within the cities of Afghanistan, and we need to get rid of them once and for all. The Iraq war was an unfortunate distraction from the rebuilding of the Afghani government.

I'll answer two of them, because I could care less about the rest.

 

1. Invasion of Iraq, should we have? No. Simply put.

 

4. Should U.S. pull it's troops out of Iraq? No. Keep them there long enough to do a good job. Not a good enough job. Set up everything you need to setup so that WHEN we leave it doesn't fall apart.
