September 7, 200619 yr All I wanted was to give the guy a stretch of consecutive starts to see if he could get on a roll. He's gotten 4 straight starts now: 6-12, double, 2 homers, 5 RBIs. Not saying I knew it would happen because I certainly didn't, & he very well may go into a funk again. But I just wanted to give the guy a legit shot. Not just the "one start every 4 or 5 games" treatment. Thank you Girardi. :thumbup
