November 5, 200619 yr Three page vanity fair article. Didnt want to post the whole thing. Pretty much reinforces that people who are not the "L" word are saying how badly this administration has run the war. As Iraq slips further into chaos, the war's neoconservative boosters have turned sharply on the Bush administration, charging that their grand designs have been undermined by White House incompetence. In a series of exclusive interviews, Richard Perle, Kenneth Adelman, David Frum, and others play the blame game with shocking frankness. Target No. 1: the president himself." .... http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/feature...2/neocons200612
November 5, 200619 yr this war for me is rapidly becoming less like vietnam and more like when hitler invades russia during WWII...and as winter is upon us, so is the snow ball rolling down into a civil war
November 5, 200619 yr Awesome, analogy. Completely wrong, but really, good effort. Way to think outside of the box. The reason Hitler lost when he invaded Russia was because he opened up a two front war and stretched his ground troops to their breaking point. This then led to D-Day, which meant he had to refocus his efforts on the west instead of the East.
November 5, 200619 yr That's pretty surprising that even the neo-Cons are going after Bush. I was under the impression that the moderate/traditional Republicans were going to be the ones who avoided him the most. There was a good CNN Broken Government special on the other day where they interviewed some prominent Reagan conservatives, all of whom were angry at Bush for changing the Republican party so much.
