Well, on the subject of borderline illegal tactics....

 

Apparently in at least 50 different races an automated computer voice recording keeps calling the voters in these districts and repeatedly saying the name of the Democratic candidate like it is an ad for that person. HOWEVER, if each person had to listen to the entire recording, it is actually sponsored by the Republican Party's campaign office. In some cases, reports have indicated that the recording will continue to call a person's household until the person has to listen to the entire ad. Lawsuits against this tactic, which almost certainly violate several states' Do Not Call laws, are already being planned. The RNC could be fined up to $500 PER CALL if the court rules in favor of the plaintiff.

 

There are also reports of threatening phone calls going to African-American households telling them not to vote or else. Similar calls attempt to convince the people in that particular household that their voting precinct has actually changed, which is false.

Charlie Crist ran an ad last night that said that Davis met with Terrorists and Communists. The terrorist they brought up was Davis having lunch with Yasser Arafat. While, that is disturbing, what Washington Politician didn't meet with him whenever he was over here? And then the ad said that Davis met with Cuban Agents. It was highly inflammatory.

My favorite political ad so far is Bill Nelson's, although he doesn't need to be negative because Harris makes herself look bad for Nelson. Still, his ad is a breath of fresh air when watching political ads.

He went to Cuba and met with Castro, something I'm sure many in South Florida are interested in.

uh, he's right...the ad says that anyone trying to fight for 'family values' would be silenced if the democrats took over...in other words, that it's not a democratic priority
