November 17, 200619 yr I just went to the Nintendo store in Rockefeller Center and played the thing. Quite possibly the coolest system ever. That controller really has endless possibilities and is utilized very well. I want one now. :confused
November 17, 200619 yr Yeah, I was saving up for a PS3 since early this summer, but the Wii has won me over. The LoZ title was enough but the controls look interesting and you can't beat the price. I'll splurge for the PS3 when the price comes down a little.

I'll splurge for the PS3 when the price comes down a little. Currently own most Nintendo systems and have played and beaten every Zelda title. This game looks like it's quite possibly the best since Ocarina of Time. Wii looks like it could be the greatest console since SNES. I really can't wait to get my hands on this system.

November 17, 200619 yr I currently have LoZ:TP and Tony Hawk in my possession and my brother already has Red Steel, Rayman and Super Monkey Ball. I'll be lining up at the Best Buy in Sawgrass Sunday morning to be one of the first ones to get a Wii :cool
November 17, 200619 yr Any chance the prices go down after the holiday season? I'm pretty sure I'll get one eventually, but I'm not looking to shell out $250 for the system alone.
November 17, 200619 yr There are about 8 frickin people in line already at Walmart. Guess I'm going to have to start earlier than I thought. Gonna get some sleep and head out first thing in the morning. No way I'm missing out on the Wii.
November 18, 200619 yr Any chance the prices go down after the holiday season? I'm pretty sure I'll get one eventually, but I'm not looking to shell out $250 for the system alone. 360 and PS3 will go down after the holidays. My experience in this area tells me Wii will most likely stay at $250 but might come packaged with a game. Look for such a thing in mid January.
November 18, 200619 yr people already waiting for Wii's is kinda dumb. there's going to be 4 million launched by the end of the year. that's a lot.

Microsoft has already said not to expect an price drop for about another year. people already waiting for Wii's is kinda dumb. there's going to be 4 million launched by the end of the year. that's a lot. Well the Best Buy i'm going to pick up the Wii at is going to have 165 units in (or so they say). Still, there is so much more supply for the Wii than the PS3, so camping out several days for one is kind of stupid.

Who knows, it might not come down in price for a while if they keep getting a good demand. But if the demand drops, they'll come down in price sooner than next year. My point is just because they said that it won't come down in price for another year doesn't mean they're telling you an honest fact.

November 18, 200619 yr Author for anyone in new york wanting this thing...im in line at the times square toys r us and the lines insane but they guaranteed everyone in line a system and still have leftovers...just felt I'd share.
November 18, 200619 yr The Wal-Mart in Pembroke Pines already had 30 people or so waiting in line about 12 Noon. I think this launch is going to be bigger than most people expect.
November 19, 200619 yr The Wal-Mart in Pembroke Pines already had 30 people or so waiting in line about 12 Noon. I think this launch is going to be bigger than most people expect. the difference between this and the PS3 though is that each store is going to have 100+ Wiis, where each store had 2-30 PS3s.
November 19, 200619 yr I got my voucher/wristband from Walmart to go back at midnight and claim my Wii. I was there since 7:30 AM. I am seriously ready for some frickin awesome Zelda!!!
November 19, 200619 yr Well, I certainly hope the next 3-4 days of your life are enriched to such an extent that you don't wonder why you didn't just wait until Tuesday. Be sure to give us your impressions as soon as you have some.
November 19, 200619 yr Well, after leaving work early and waiting about 8 hours in the freezing cold, I have a Wii, and it is good. I've been playing it for about 2.5 hours and have been loving it.

Eh, I knew I wanted one, and the launch central happened to be a mere subway ride away from me, I wanted to see it, and I figured if I was there and I only had to spend a few hours waiting, it'd be worth it. It wasn't pandemonium like the PS3 and it was an experience if nothing else. So far I like the system a lot, but I really went for the show.
November 19, 200619 yr These controls are definatly the next step in game evolution. Pointing with the Wii Remote feels much better than using a joystick. Haven't gotten to play Zelda yet because I had friends playing it so I played Wii Sports and Rayman Raving Rabbids(awesome). Anybody have any impressions to share about Red Steel, I've heard very mixed things. Been up since before 6 AM trying to get this thing, and now I'm going finally able to go to bed.

We played Wii Sports and Red Steel for about 4 hours in our dorm's common room and, wow, Red Steel feels so natural. I'm amazed at this system. I wasn't skeptical, because it seemed very gimmicky, but playing it is amazing. I'm going to have to get one.
