I hereby suggest the creation of a penalty box for all those morons who think the game is over whenever something bad happens. Like when we go down 1-0 in the FIRST FREAKING INNING. That s*** started at 1-0. I'm all for allowing Admin the authority to place an hour ban on anyone who calls the game over when it's so clearly not.

 

Rule #1 would be that if you call a game over, and the Marlins eventually go on to take the lead, you are placed in the box for an hour. Even if the Marlins go on to lose the game, the fact that they went ahead shows that you are a moron.

 

I think there should be a specific penalty box thread where we get to hurl insults and cybertomatoes at all those in the box at the time.

 

And FLCL00 and sheff#1 should start tomorrow's game in the box. Perhaps a lifetime ban would be in order... :mischief2

Yep, I agree 100%. I actually didn't see anything before the seventh, stuck in class...which was really hard to focus in by the way, but I digress. I read that topic and it made me sick.

 

However, it happens EVERY time we're behind, so it's not like it's something new. There's just some people that can't help it, I guess. I have a tendency to get like that during Bengals games (but then I'm right 99 out of 100 times there), but I don't see how you can do it with this team. I've only truly given up on this team once this year and that was during the Boston Massacre, I just couldn't watch that and I still felt bad for turning it off.

Well, even if it we did it for 5 minutes, those two guys I listed above would probably still be in the box. They'd have about 30 penalties apiece. Shoot, I think they earned a game misconduct, and should have been sent home.

i have nothing againts bandwagoners but you have to be a good fan. we dont need those kind of fans. you can criticise if you want and say its going to be realy tough to come back, but never never never say its over. the marlins have proven day in and day out that they can come back from behind huge leads. they (like the actual marlin) fight to the death.

I'm used to it. No problem. It just makes it sweeter knowing that a year similar to this Marlins season is on the horizon now that we have a real coach.

i dont follow football as much as baseball or hockey. the only person i like on the fins is ricky williams. other than that i am a little pissed about the fins getting so much attention when they arent even that great anymore. glad that the marlins get to share in some of the glory now. hopefully there will be enough room for both sports in the future (other cities deal with it just fine. football has just been here longer)
