October 12, 200322 yr Since we're winning Game 5 tomorrow with Beckett on the hill... I vote for Pavano in Game 6, then Mark Redman in Game 7. Who's with me?! :thumbup (....or has Pavano thrown out of the bullpen too much to start?)
October 12, 200322 yr Im with you.... oh and WE NEED OFFENSE bench Alex.... and if not him, then atleast Derrek Lee
October 12, 200322 yr As much as Alex is good defensively, the offense is not getting it done against a staff that is giving them chance after chance. But as bad as the offense has been, but the pitching has been the worst thing in this series by far. They have gone back to their old nemesis from years past, the walk. I think that Alex should sit today, or at least come out in the later innings (and if its Mordecai this time, please don't swing at the first pitch). We need the offensive support because we just don't know what the pitching staff is going to give us.

October 12, 200322 yr Marlins need to win Sunday to force a game 6 which will be pitched by Mark Prior. If the Marlins get swept at home, Prior will be able to pitch games 1,4, and 7 against the Yankees giving them better odds of winning the Series. Come on Fish, win one more for pride's sake.

I thought McKeon was setting that up by using Penny last night but then he used Pavano too. I'd also try Cabrera as SS. I was dead set against it until now but Beckett isn't a ground ball pitcher so maybe we could get away with it. And we need the offense.
October 12, 200322 yr I think Pavano gets nod in Game 6. But Beckett goes today...gotta start there first. We need to put 5+ runs on the board today. Benching Lee is not an option. But Gonzalez on the bench could be possible if we put Fox in there...but we cant expect much offense there either. ANd we lose defense. So stay with A Gon...I dont know what the hell his deal is. In an ideal world, the Marlins would keep this team together and sign Tejera. Then we would be unstoppable...
