March 8, 200718 yr this sucks. . . I think the City of Miami is on their way to screw this for the 2nd time. Should have stayed with Hialeah. My level of confidence is going down every time I hear the commissioners speak or I see any reports.

My level of confidence is going down every time I hear the commissioners speak or I see any reports. They put forth the exact same thing the county did days ago. Nothing negative here. Just that Tally is getting the same message from everyone. They all want to get the money job done and then find the right site. All the support is financial, but not site-specific. So right now, the Orange Bowl and Government Center sites are on the list. The support is there financially.

So right now, the Orange Bowl and Government Center sites are on the list. The support is there financially. I'm quoting from the CBS4 article posted on your site: The plan calls for it to be built on the site of the Orange Bowl in Little Havana, however it would not replace the veteran stadium. Instead, developers would go back to plans from a couple of years ago, where the new baseball stadium would be built next to the football stadium. So it seems like this is a different resolution or the CBS4 people are on drugs
March 8, 200718 yr Author The plan is not site-specific.....only money specific. The City Commission put their two cents in support of the OB site. However, nothing about a site is in writing in the resolution. These are just marching orders to Tallahassee. Then in an 11-to-1 vote, the commission agreed to pursue a 490-(m)-million-dollar plan to finance a ballpark on a site to be determined. The Orange Bowl was then added to the list of potential locations.
