May 17, 200719 yr Jason Vargas was called up from AAA New Orleans to be thrown in as the Mets 5th Starter, replacing Mike Pelfrey. Probably the wrong forum, I just thought it was interesting. I always thought Vargas had some promise, as his delivery was unusually sneaky.
