August 7, 200719 yr Was there today. Great seats, great game. Matt Treanor is one of the grittiest SOBs on earth. Even with his team up by 4 runs, the guy railroads the sh*t out of a catcher. Even though he was called out, you love seeing that. Awesome outing for Olsen. Good selection all day long. Changeup was moving all over the place. He got the standing O from me. It looked to me, and I haven't seen the TV broadcast, that the ball that hit Cabrera got him on his rock of Gebraltar sized elbow pad. He was on the bench later in the game (don't know if they showed that on tv either) so he should be fine. In the meantime, Amezaga made probably the play of the game in relief of Cabrera on the ball that went off of Gregg's leg so in a way, it was a blessing in disguise. Pretty even game most of the way through. Awesome finish and a good building block win. Matt got some nice applause walking to the dugout after that collision. I thought he looked a bit wobbly. I just love seeing catchers in a collision like that. Totally opposite of that lame excuse Hammer had for a collision the other night. And wasn't it ironic that the first batter was their catcher?? It was great to see the standing O Scotty got. And deservedly so. Great job. I would like to see him work on his bunting a little more tho. But that's just getting picky. That Amazing play was awesome. What an athletic player. That elbow pad may seem big, but check out Bonds. I think Miggy's is a mid sized one. And if your seats were that good then you heard the CLUNK when that ball hit it. It looked like it hit near the top and got some of his arm. The radio on the way home said it hit solidly on the elbow. Then I read at the wb site that it did hit near the top of the pad. Good to hear we won't be losing his bat. I had club seats so I really couldn't hear a clunk. I was just going by what I saw from almost directly behind home plate. Yeah, I was in 250 so I didn't hear a clunk either, but it looked bad. Ha. I was in 246. A foul ball fell right by you then, right? I was sitting there on Saturday. I usually sit in the outfield or Infield Box, but my fiancee felt like living the high life in the club section. About four rows back from me, yeah. I was in the first row.
