August 7, 200718 yr I've been workin' all summer to pay for a laptop and can't make up my mind on what to get. I have no more than $2,300 to spend. 90% of what it will be used for is video editing (marlins games) and making clips etc. similar to the fish bites thing. I was going to go with a macbook pro with the program, final cut pro. Now I'm starting to rethink this..possibly getting a lesser priced PC along with the best PC video editer (any ideas?). any suggestions, help, tips...would be greatly appreciated. Here's the models I've been comparing: Dell Inspiron 1420-$1,323-160GB harddrive-2 GB memory-17in screen Apple MacBook Pro-$1,999-120 GB harddrive-2 GB memory-15in screen Apple MacBook Pro-$2,799 (before student discount, free nano, free printer)-160 GB harddrive-2 GB memory- 17in screen Toshiba Satelitte-$867-160 GB harrdrive- 1024 MB memory (I would buy a couple of memory sticks also)-15.4 in. screen

Dont waste your time reading that non-sense... I learned it in school but to be honest you pretty much learn it just by messing with it day in and day out.... Need help with anything let me know
August 8, 200718 yr Author We talked with a friend of my dad's who works with video editing.....she's suggesting to me to get a PC and get a smaller editing software, when I learn how to use that, work my way up to the bigger stuff. She's telling me that you can get excellent editing software for the PC, basically just as get as FCP. I don't know...really hard decision.....
