The Marlins traded Triple-A Albuquerque outfielder Chad Hermansen to the New York Mets' organization for a player to be named. Hermansen had been on the disabled list since July 28 with a foot bruise, but he wasn't likely to get much playing time behind Brett Carroll, Reggie Abercrombie, Eric Reed and John Gall.
